Warning Description: Lake Wind Advisory

WarningSum:...Lake Wind Advisory Now In Effect Until 9 Pm Cdt This Evening...
Warning Message:The lake Wind Advisory is now in effect until 9 PM CDT this
evening.
* Timing: gusty west and southwest winds will be common across the
state into this evening as a low pressure system moves into
southern Missouri.
* Winds: west and southwest winds at 15 to 25 mph will be
common...with gusts up to 40 mph in some areas possible.
* Impacts: boaters on area lakes should prepare for rough
conditions with frequent gusts and White Caps likely. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high
profile vehicles.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
