KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADE music includes movement activities with special emphasis given to enhancing literary and mathematical skills. SECOND GRADE music introduces music theory concepts. Hands-on experimentation with musical instruments and instructional learning centers help to expose our students to a variety of musical styles. THIRD, FOURTH, AND SIXTH GRADES will be learning how to play the piano keyboard in the keyboard learning center, along with attending a variety of other music learning centers. Theory instruction will continue. HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR members study advanced music theory. Sight reading skills and exposure to a variety of choral literature prepares the student for participation in collegiate choral activities.
