Current Position:

I've been with Bismarck School District for 11 years.  During this time I've taught students who are in resource special education classes for extra assistance in all academic areas.  Currently I'm teaching 5th-8th grade students, who are in resource, language arts and reading.

Previous Position:

Prior Bismarck, I taught in Hot Springs for 11 years.  I taught 6th-8th grade students who needed a little extra assistance in reading, writing, and math.  I even taught PE for a semester!  I have also coached a girls' softball team at Hot Springs' YMCA and coached a jumprope team.  Mentoring students for the Garland County Judicial System has impacted me greatly.  I've taught all kinds of kids... some with disabilities, some without noticable challenges, some who challenged me, some who were homebound, and some who were in jail.

Family Information:

I have one daughter, Laken, and three grandchildren...Jerri Lynn, LC, and Michael.  My granddaughter is three; my two grandsons are one and they happen to be identical twins!  Laken graduated from Bismarck High School.  My pets are 2 dogs I picked up from the animal humane society.  Their names are READY and OR NOT.  They are mixed breeds and look like they may have some Redblood, Lab, and Texas Walker in them.  They are both a mess but they bring me lots of joy.

Personal Information:

My hobbies include, but are not limited to;  tennis,

laking,   reading,    gardening,         traveling, cruising, camping, eating soul food, playing with my dogs, taking kids to the park, decorating, floating a river, beach bumming, sitting in a creek eating watermelon,  shopping, playing games, listening to some cool songs on the radio/satellite or hearing harmonica or saxophone music, and spending time with my friends.  I used to do some water skiing, was an avid tennis player, and played a lot of softball,  but that was then and this is now so I guess I'll probably take up golf     or some kind of dancing... like ballroom dancing.
